Metalworking 101, copper warps with heat

So many steps in metalwork, cutting, sanding, drilling, tapping, welding. And a hard lesson.
I did all this to create the backside for the custom hammered copper mirror I've been making, and then realized it warped entirely too much after welding and had to scrap it. I ended up making some simple brackets that worked out great. But it was a lot of work to realize that even after 25+ years of doing this, sometimes I still don't get it!
