Lotus flower drawing to represent new beginnings

I was commissioned to make this lotus flower bowl as a birthday gift. After hammering out the copper bowl and fusing it with base layers of glass, I drew the flower, then fired it in the 1500 degree kiln, sandwiching the drawing between layers of glass.
Honored to play a role in people’s lives and celebrations in this way.
