Fighting Visibility! Sports Media and Female Athletes in the UFC

The Department of Radio-Television-Film and the Center for Sports Communication and Media host a conversation on the release of "Fighting Visibility: Sports Media and Female Athletes in the UFC" (University of Illinois Press) by Dr. Jennifer McClearen, a faculty member in the RTF department and an affiliate faculty member at CSCM. Conversants include Maryam Aziz, 2020-2021 Post-Doctoral Scholar, Africana Research Center, Richards Civil War Era Center at Penn State University, Madhavi Mallapragada, associate professor in the Department of Radio-Television-Film, the College of Communication, at UT-Austin and Travis Vogan, Associate Professor in the American Studies Department in the college of Liberal Arts and Sciences at the University of Iowa.
