2021 Dan Jenkins Medal for Excellence in Sportswriting Award Ceremony
CSCM and the Moody College of Communication at UT-Austin celebrate Mitchell S. Jackson and Roger Angell as winners of the 2021 Jenkins Medal. Jackson won the Best Sportswriting award for his 2020 Runner's World piece, Twelve Minutes and a Life. Angell won the Lifetime Achievement award for a career that spans decades, writing chiefly about baseball for the New Yorker magazine. This event also marked the Jenkins Medal Sports Legend award going to legendary UT-Austin and NFL Hall of Fame running back Earl Campbell.
