Smoking Fish in the Smokin' Ace King-Griller by Char-Griller
Bought a new smoker from Lowe's for $170 before two days of fishing. The first day, fishing, my buddy caught 4 and I caught 1. The next day I went with my daughter and we limited out. She did catch the biggest fish, a 17 and a half inch 2 pound rainbow trout. Realized after cooking that the higher temp was just about right. Temps on the thermometer was 230 because it was higher in elevation and the temp on the food was a few degrees cooler probably around 200.
Brines used were:
Lemon Dill - Hand full of dill from the garden, 1/8 cup of salt, 1/8 cup of lemon juice, and 1 cup of water.
Lemon Pepper - 1 tablespoon of black pepper, 1/8 cup of salt, 1/8 cup of lemon juice, and 1 cup of water.
Lemon Garlic - 10 small cloves of crushed garlic, 1/8 cup of salt, 1/8 cup of lemon juice, and 1 cup of water.
