Fusing Jade Plants Update (2020)

This is an update video for my attempt at fusing jade plants (Crassula ovata) trunks together. The first attempt has not been successful probably because the bark was not allowed to break and so acted as a barrier stopping the cambium layers of the trunks from touching and fusing. In this video I cut the bark to expose the cambium layers and hopefully fuse the trunks. This technique works for many woody plants, but I am still not sure if this works with Jade plants. I did have a more recent update which I was going to include in this video, however I have lost the video file. I will continue to experiment with this technique as this series of videos has had a lot of interest.
