Must Have Been The Wind | Thrushpelt Complete PMV MAP

EDIT: The designs in this MAP for the cats do NOT have feathers on their heads, they are leaves so I’ll be making a clarification. However, it is noted that I will not be placing any leaves or feathers on my WC designs in the future in order to leave out misunderstandings! Thank you!

SO IT HASN’T BEEN 2 WEEKS BUT-
You know what? It doesn’t matter how long this MAP took, because by the looks of it. I’m proud to be the host of the MAP. It shows so many people with such talent and skill, yet most of them are deeply underrated. You know who else is underrated? Thrushpelt. The tom that everyone just loves so dearly, and there’s nothing to hate about him.

He appeared in Bluestar’s Prophecy and Spottedleaf’s Heart, yet not many really showed this kind warrior the love he deserves. There aren’t much MAPS dedicated to him, nor to his story. The Erins just seem to have written his character as a background dude than give him a plot that the readers might have loved to read.

So here’s my take. Thrushpelt isn’t known for really that much except he had a huge crush on Bluefur and Spottedpaw’s first mentor when she was training to be a warrior, and then he died off later but The Erins left it aside. I thought, before he died, maybe he impacted the both she-cats someway, how? Simple, by showing both of them support. He knew he couldn’t love Bluefur because her heart belongs to some other tom, and he can’t do anything to help Spotted out of the Thistleclaw situation because well.. he doesn’t have proof of anything, doesn’t he? All he could do is be a bystander and watch, yet I feel that his heart would be so kind to care for the two of them after the incident.

He worries for Bluefur and her kits, from the book, Thunderclan thought he was the kits father, even HE knew he wasn’t. What did he respond canonically? He would still treat them as their own, it doesn’t matter who the real father is, he still cares about the kits and Bluefur. Spottedleaf? She was his apprentice, and in the novella, he showed he still cared when Spotted went to train as a medicine cat apprentice, asking how she was and he wasn’t even disappointed. If he isn’t the best tom in the entire series, I don’t know who else is! Thrushpelt has shown nothing but generosity and kindness to those around him, and in return, this is a tribute and possible appreciation for the loving warrior we know.
