IT ALL WENT WRONG! COME TO THE SALON WITH ME VLOG

Hey guys

So last week I tried a new salon for the first time that came highly recommended in Birmingham where I live.

I had been going to London the last couple of years as I had been to two amazing and talented hairdressers but unfortunately I couldn’t afford to keep going back and forth. Trains are bloody expensive! Not to mention London prices.....

So I went to Bad Apple in the Burlington Arcade in Birmingham City Centre as I had heard that it was great salon and the chain is independent but growing quickly. I went to see a salon director for my colour and I did very much get the feeling I would be in good hands.

I booked a T section and tone to try and get rid of some of the root glow I had from my last visit to the salon in London (the result of a gloss at the root when you get balayage, it just made my hair look too warm over time so not a fan!) but I had not had colour on my hair for 4 months by the this point!

I talked through my concerns saying I wanted the bright icy blonde on the ends to frame my face again and then go over some of the more gold colour with bright blonde.....easy right?!

But what I got was a darker root and hair even more gold than before! Forget about the face framing lights on the front.....I just didn’t feel listened to.

Safe to say even though I went back to have it fixed, it’s still not the colour I wanted and it looks like I will be heading back to London in a few months time.....

My advise is ALWAYS bring pictures (something I didn’t do on the first occasion) and ask your stylist to run through what they are going to do before they start!

Bad Apple use Tigi Colour and products exclusively and that is not a brand I have used before so perhaps the colour is not as good as L’Oreal, Wella and Redken which salons have used on me previously with superior results.
