The early stages of WW1 took up a lot of focus for virtually the entire world. However, on-going events in Mexico, resulted in a huge war scare that nearly brought the two neighbors into a full-on war. The Tampico Affair would be the starting point, but it would become much more. This, is the US occupation of Veracruz.
