Olivia Newton John ~ A Little More Love 1978 Disco Purrfection Version

It's no secret that I really love Olivia Newton-John. 1971's "If Not For You" was the first song of hers I ever heard. She also did a lovely version of "Love Song" that had similar guitar work that Jim Croce used on "Time In A Bottle" and really made me take notice. I was with her from that point on. Just when the cute and pretty voiced Livvy thing seemed to be wear a bit thin, she practically shrieked her way back into my consciousness with her vocals in "Grease". The first time I heard "You're The One That I Want" I did not recognize her and thought it was Marie Osmond. But her fuller sounding voice lent itself well to the beefier music tracks. The sexy transformation from blue eyed blonde nymphet to divine sexpot at the end of the movie signlled a change in Olivia. Her next LP, "Totally Hot" and the first single, "A Little More Love" came out in the fall of 1978. This harder rocking sound furthered her sex siren call by reaching #3 Pop in December of 1979. The follow up to this one was "Deeper Than The Night" which had a very syncopated arrangement but not really "disco" but peaked at #11 that spring. This was a tough one to extend, it took me the better part of a year to complete, but I hope you like the finished track, something fun!
