Mechadroid- Bipedal Robot
This is a bipedal robot that I have designed and built. Its equipped with 10 DOF, 5 each leg and an Arduino controller that does the kinematics and trajectory generation. The servos are connected via a homemade shield/board that I had built specifically to run 12 servos power using 6 Voltage regulators which draws power from a 12V 1000mAh lipo. The servos were acquired from Hobbyking(Hextronix). The structure/links were designed in NX-Unigraphics and I fabricated them(including all other push-rods etc) at home from Aluminium Channels, Polycarbonate and plastic.
This video shows the core program enabling the robot to perform static walking while balancing its CG in realtime. I am still working to add more functionality.
