#Azerbaijan and #Armenia are accusing each other of attacking large cities in violation of a new ceasefire. The fighting erupted just hours after Russia brokered a deal. The OSCE Minsk group co-chair nations France, Russia and the U.S., are holding negotiations on Nagorno-Karabakh again on Monday in Moscow. The leaders condemned the escalation of violence and called for an immediate ceasefire. Renewed clashes between Azerbaijan and Armenia erupted on September 27, with intense battles raging in the disputed region of Nagorno-Karabakh. It is home to 150,000 ethnic Armenians, but is internationally recognized as Azerbaijani #territory. The area has experienced numerous skirmishes over the past two decades. Azerbaijan and Armenia have imposed martial law and launched mobilization efforts. Both parties to the conflict have reported casualties, among them civilians.
