BOC Smootharc 180 Mig welder test squirt on pure Argon - 316 stainless wire

Running pure argon does not work very well, but it will do for quick jobs. I will look into getting a cylinder of BOC Stainshield for it soon. the welds held up fine on the range too, hammering it with small caliber rounds all day did not crack or damage the welds or hardened targets.

Likewise tuning the voltage and inductance makes a big difference in weld quality.
