♦ Sims vs Sims 2 vs Sims 3 vs Sims 4 : Dogs (Part 2)

Hello people! This is the second part to the Dogs comparison, this time skills, behaviors, activities, interactions, and other details surrounding dogs in The Sims series

There's going to be a third and last part uploaded within next week I want to believe which will end with puppies and the things that couldn't fit in this video like growing old, being given for adoption,
negligence, death, getting sick etc. So yeah, sounds like a lovely idea right? Anyways, hope to be able to finish that video on time.

So, what do you think about this comparison, who's your winner?

My opinion?

Sims 1 has some fun stuff for dogs to do when it comes to tricks but the rest of the skills are just too monotone for my liking and they're too limited and I hate not being able to control them...so yeah, let's just say it's not my favorite

Sims 2 has a good balance in all aspects, I love that they can get jobs of their own, it's something that is still unique to this series but I get that it's too unrealistic but then again, that's The Sims for ya.

Sims 3 had some good aspects, I like the hunting skill and the fact that you can guard a house, plus, it seems like they have way more interaction than the rest since the others got away with not even showing it so no one knew how lacking it was. The idea to borrow things from sims 2 while mixing things of their own made this feel more complete but those breaking animations just unnerve me! Specially after visiting Sims 4

Sims 4 is just charming with the smooth animations and the pet's looks, their interactions are good enough, training them is fun and all but the one thing I would've liked is to give them an actual purpose, since you can't control them (at least not without mods) it's reasonable but once you do get control you run out of things to do...well, at least I felt like I did. Again, I get it's because you're not supposed to control them but goddammit! I like to control my pets and have things to do with them thank you very much.

So for me none won. I'd mix the aspects I liked about each and if I HAD to pick one, at least on the topics I talked about here, I'd pick Sims 3 just because I like to control them and have them run around freely without worrying they're gonna get lost.
