♦ Sims 1 - Sims 2 - Sims 3 - Sims 4 : Dance - Evolution

Heyy, this is a not so brief comparison of Dances in The Sims, as always, I went in thinking it was gonna be a short project but A) There was more than I expected and B) My computer has been giving me a hard time, I couldn't play Sims 3 without it overheating so sorry if the animations are more choppy than usual.

I wanted to focus only on club dancing but I found some neat ones along the way, if you've seen my community post you probably know this comparison is missing the ballet from Sims 1 but I decided I didn't want to make this video any longer, that animation takes like 30 second and it isn't even official so I didn't see the point. If Sims 4 introduces ballet then maybe I'll make a video to mention that and expand on the ballet skill as a whole.

So what do you think of all the dances? My opinion?

Sims 1 has pretty cool variety with every move switching depending on the station, it was a nice touch and one I wish could've gone on but I'm not too mad at that, it's also the raunchiest with all of the suggestive dancers, it's truly something that the sims wouldn't do again. (Btw, I know Sims 3 also has those adult dancers buut they don't have a unique animation so I didn't include them)

Sims 2 has very iconic dances with the smustle, I had forgotten about the special dances you learn in bon voyage and those were pretty neat reasons to visit, I also loved the introduction of ballet and the way sims dance with kids, it's full of good details

Sims 3 followed a lot of Sims 2's work and I get it, it's no surprise at this point. But I'm still just gonna talk about what's new, the introduction of club dancing was pretty good and I love the movements, also the wacky dances like Gangnam style and Chicken dance, I liked how they at least tried.

Sims 4 has the best animations by far if we talk about smoothness, it's just cool looking at them! In terms of what's new, get together really helped a lot with the group dancing, dance battles, etc. It could've gone even further imo but I'm glad with what we got. I also like little details like toddlers dancing and the cowplant. I do miss slow dancing, it was so iconic so maybe they'll bring it back? Anyways, I'm not too mad at it either, if I put it in the thumbnail it's nothing that deep lol
So if you ask me, I could not pick one, they all did a wonderful job. But that's just my opinion, let me know yours and I hope I don't take as long for my next upload lol. I have many topics lined up so I'm unsure which one will go next. Stay tuned

BTW, this is the first time I've used music from the games cause I thought it'd be appropriate with Sims 1's bit but I'll pray this doesn't go down because of it lol, wish me luck.
