I have atypical trigeminal neuralgia. It's a malfunctioning of the trigeminal nerve due to some kind of interference in the nerve pathways that causes continuous powerful electrical sensations through the left side of my face. They are *NOT* painful, but they are distracting and weird feeling. The doctor ordered a set of MRIs to try to identify the culprit somewhere in the system. Unfortunately, the culprit remains undetected and I am cursed with living with this frustrating and annoying condition. The cause is as yet unidentified.
