How to WIN QUICKLY with The Greek Gift! | Semi Slav - Gameplay and Analysis (1800 Rating Lichess)

Some stuff I learned:
1. When I have a pawn on e5 and they castle I can greek gift.
2. If they don't castle I have Ng5 ideas Qf3 and sometimes e6-ideas.
3. Taking the knight on d5 immediately seems to either block his bishop or allow e6 ideas.

This is a game featuring a semi-slav which is a d4-opening. This video can give you an idea how to play as white in the semi slav. It's a very instructive game in my opinion because we learn how to 1. get the greek gift to work in a very direct way as a consequence of controlling the centre early as white. 2. we learn (I also learn!) how to deal with if black just doesn't castle into greek gift, what can one do in such a case when the centre is completely blocked up?

This is instuctive to any player below 1800 on lichess rapid rating I think, because then you get to see how to improve towards the 1800 rating. I explain my thought process during the game which can be interesting to some people. This game also analyses the pawn structure and a positional idea to block in the b7 bishop early in the game. It shows you an example of when to trade.

This was a rapid game, time control was 10+5 meaning 10 minutes and 5 seconds extra time per move we make.
