In this video I want to talk about a topic that bugged me about the queen's gambit movie. I heard someone said that in a scene they said that simply playing 1. d4 is the queens gambit, which is false!

This video is intended for anyone that just saw the movie but doesn't know a lot about chess and just want to learn a little bit more about chess. For the beginner, chess is mostly about developing your pieces and control the center, and of course not blundering your pieces. I talk about some of these concepts in the video.

Queens gambit starts like 1. d4 d5 2. c4
Then the whole game is still gonna have its roots from a queens gambit, wheter you accept it or not, it's still a queens gambit. Names of openings in chess are important in my opinion because that makes it easier to distinguish between openings and positions I believe.
