Calisthenics Started In Brooklyn?

Calisthenics started where? Was calisthenics started in Brooklyn? Who really knows, I can't speak for everyone else. While it may have not originated from Brooklyn for the rest of the world, that's where it started for me. My official calisthenics journey began in the parks of Brooklyn when I met the Bar Barians. I had played around with some body weight exercises before but when I started extreme calisthenics with the Bar Barians thats when my biggest challenges and real progress began.

This isn't a Bar Barian training documentary. It's simply an inside look of the training style from my eyes and what sets it apart from so many others. There's nothing new under the sun but the energy and satisfaction you get when performing and completing one of these elite routines is one of a kind.
