Tonopah Test Range
Located about 160 air miles northwest of Las Vegas, the Tonopah Test Range covers 280 square miles within the boundaries of the Nellis Air Force Base Bombing and Gunnery Range. TTR’s mission is to provide Stockpile Evaluation and Research and Development test support for the Department of Energy and National Nuclear Security Administration funded weapon projects, as well as other government agencies and their contractors. Situated between two mountain ranges, the remote location of the range and restricted airspace ensure tests can be conducted with a high degree of safety and security. This video highlights the instrumentation and infrastructure that the test range can offer customers.
