The Total Rejection ‎– Party Seven (2018)

The Total Rejection are Bristol based and "Wrapping Yourself In Silver Foil Won't Save You From The Blast" is their debut album. Nine tracks that mix the best elements of 60's garage punk, with nods to 60s mod icons such as The Who, Small Faces and The Creation. Added to the musical concoction is a touch of late 60s psychedelia, topped off with a seasoning inspired by the likes of Stereolab and even Lemmy era Hawkwind.

The Total Rejection show they have more than one string to their musical bow as they slide into an ambient Spacemen 3 style stoner on Save The World Incessant beats, wigouts and trippy farfisa vibes. The spirit of pop-art as pioneered by The Who, and taken into new territories by The Creation, are revisited, revived and rebooted. Impressive blending of psychedelic grooves with lo-fi garage punk to perfection. A joyously uplifting album. Already working on their second album, The Total Rejection are well worth keeping both an eye and ear open for.
