Features I like about this radio:
Shortwave performance is great with the included 43" antenna.
SSB function with 10Hz stepping while fine tuning.
FM performance is very good.
AM performance is decent.
650 Memory Presets.
L & R RCA line level out, controlled by the volume knob.
Remote control is a great addition.
Speaker audio is fantastic.
Bass/Treble controls.
Headphone experience is one of the best I have experienced on a portable radio. Perfect on all the bands.
External Antenna Jacks. This radio is made for them.
Four AM Bandwidth filters, and Five BW filters on SSB.
18650 Rechargeable batteries included.
No Mute on Tuning, thank you!
Easy to use controls.
Easy to read LCD display.
Tuning knob is substantial.
All knobs are metal.

Features that could be added or improved on:
Add a DC input, so that you can use a dedicated power supply for normal operation.
Have remote function always on when the radio is off. It shuts off after an hour. This is ok in portable mode, but on your desk it may be an issue. Adding a DC input would have solved this.
Add a Hold/Stop button for the tuning knob.
I would love a D cell battery version of this radio.
Get rid of the cheap, red plastic power button. It is out of place compared to the high quality metal knobs.

Overall, this radio gets a recommended buy when it is priced under $250. the Sangean 909X is still a great alternative, but I really enjoy using the tuning knobs on this radio. Plus the addition of the remote is great.
