Sewer camera inspection is very expensive to have done, and to buy a sewer camera is even more expensive. In this video I show how to make a diy sewer camera to inspect tree roots in a sewer. The sewer camera is made from a wireless endoscope which is waterproof, which makes it perfect for the diy sewer camera. The sewer inspection camera connects wirelessly to a cell phone, so your cell phone is the viewer for the sewer camera. The sewer camera is attached to a drain auger or drain snake, via electrical tape to make the sewer camera easier to snake in to your sewer line. I use this sewer camera before clearing tree roots from my main sewer line, then inspect the main line again with the sewer camera after snaking the line for tree root. I also discuss some products used treat roots in sewer line such as copper sulfate, zep root kill, rock salts, and rootx (RootX root x rootX ROOTX). You can then later inspect your sewer line with the sewer camera after using the chemical treatment to kill tree roots.
