Timelapse: Steam up Snowdon Mountain Railway in 4 minutes

On 4th May 2018, I took the first steam train of the year to the summit of Snowdon. Sitting at the front, I was able to use a camera that didn't affect the operation of the train or affect the staff - so managed to record this timelapse video. Usually the ascent takes an hour - this version takes just 4 minutes. The steam loco, "Padarn", No.6 of the Snowdon Mountain Railway barked and roared the entire way up; the views from either side are incredible and I can honestly say this is one of the most remarkable steam railway journeys of the UK. If you can get the chance - ride it. Cloud or clear, you'll not regret it.
