Tropical Storm Eta Landfall - Live Update

Tropical Storm Eta is nearing a landfall in the Florida Keys where hurricane warnings are in place. Eta has maintained intensity through most of the day as it has traversed the Florida straight. Eta will take a westward hook and make landfall in Florida as it interacts with a cutoff low, before stalling in the Gulf of Mexico as steering currents collapse, potentially turning back towards Florida at the end of the forecast period. Regardless of Eta's exact motion or strength, significant impacts from damaging winds, storm surge, and high rainfall totals are expected during the next several days, with an additional 6-10 inches of rain expected in the next 5 days.
