Heishi Cluster Earrings w/ Rachel Mallis

From Rachel: "For this installment of our “Designing with Heishi” series, I thought it would be fun to work with square heishi! I feel like square shaped beads don’t get quite as much love as circular and rounded edge beads because they’re perceived as harder to design with. The pointed edges can cause your eyes to pause which can sometimes create a disjointed design. For this class, we are taking that challenge head on and using the unique square shape to our advantage to make some fun cluster earrings!"

To bead along with us, you will need:
- 24 or 26 gauge wire or ball headpins
- Square heishi beads (mine are around 5mm)
- (2) 6 inch pieces of medium size softflex
- (2) 2x2 crimp tubes (I’ve used softflex)
- A pair of earwires
- A ruler, flush cutters, round nose pliers, chain nose pliers, a permanent marker, magical crimping pliers
