*NEW* iPhone 11 MagCase by Pitaka: Unboxing and First Look!!

A bulletproof vest for your iPhone 11? Almost! The astonishingly thin and light MagCase by Pitaka is made from 100% aramid fiber, essentially generic Kevlar, which is the same material in bulletproof vests. It adds virtually no weight or thickness to your iPhone, has a velvety, slightly grippy texture and simply looks gorgeous on your iPhone. Unlike some of Pitaka’s cases, such as the MagCase Pro, the MagCase for iPhone 11 does not claim to provide mega drop protection, but it still gives you an astonishing amount of protection given its vanishingly small weight and thickness.

Pros:
*Crafted from 100% aramid fiber

* Astonishingly thin and lightweight

* Extremely tight and secure fit on the phone

* Scratch resistant and fingerprint resistant, although greasy fingerprints will still show up.

* Raised lip around the back camera provides lay on the table protection

* Lovely velvety finish gives the case a good amount of grip. Feels very secure in the hand.

* Supports wireless charging

* Embedded metal plates make it compatible with Pitaka’s magnetic mounting system (sold separately)

* Easy to install

Cons:

* Tight fit makes it a bit difficult to remove

* Although ordinary fingerprints don’t show up, greasy smears will.

This product is not available yet—it should be released next week after Apple’s iPhone 11 keynote address on Sept 10, 2019. Many thanks to Pitaka for sending me out this sample to review. As this is pre-release item, I don’t have any definite pricing info yet, but if the iPhone XR version is anything to go by, it should have an MSRP of around $49.99.
