illegal Immigrant Tries to Steal 1000s of Gift Cards. BODYCAM

This scam is getting out of control. Another one of these guys got caught stealing gift cards, altering them and then putting them back on shelves so that he and his criminal group could steal from hard working Americans.

He hit multiple locations in a short amount of time, when one of the locations called to warn another location about this scam they realized he was already at the 2nd location. Police arrived and detained him while they tried to figure out what happened.

It's basically impossible for anyone to tell what has been tamped with and what has not. They searched his vehicle and found almost 2k gift cards in 2 large duffel bags.

He was arrested and they have now linked him to similar crimes at 10 other locations. He is a Chinese citizen and was in the country illegally.

DO NOT BUY ANY GIFT CARDS AT PLACES LIKE THAT WHERE THEY ARE OUT IN THE OPEN ON SHELVES. ONLY BUY THEM IF THEY ARE BEHIND THE COUNTER WHERE PEOPLE LIKE THIS CANT ACCESS THEM.
