2019 Christmas Collection - Joy to the World – K.A. Anderssons Reed Organ
Joy to the World is another one of my favourite Christmas carols. This tune that is most commonly used today is from an 1848 edition composed by Lowell Mason. The text was first published in 1719, written by Isaac Watts.
Played on a K.A. Anderssons reed organ made around 1895. This organ is only partially functional, most of the couplers are not working, and the sound on the last verse would be phenomenal if they were all in good working order. This organ has had some repairs to make it sound, the extensive repairs and restoration will be in the near future.
