The People Of Myanmar Speak Out On The Military Coup

On February 1, 2021 the military of Myanmar seized control over the country, declaring a year-long state of emergency. The coup was staged after the National League for Democracy (NLD) party won the general elections by a landslide. The armed forces are demanding a rerun of the vote, claiming widespread election fraud. Are there any grounds to these allegations? How did this coup affect the daily lives of Myanmar citizens? With the help of our Mogao community, we were able to hit the streets of Yangon to talk directly to the people of Myanmar.
