Snake Out Of Green Grass, tells the story of a man who is being used by a woman for her own purposes. Recorded by New Orleans native, Roshell Anderson, on Nashville's Excello label in 1973, it's a unique song sung by the former DJ and TV announcer, working in those venues under the professional name of Mike Anderson. As Roshell Anderson, he would go on to record several other singles in the mid 1970's but none as strangely alluring as Snake Out Of Green Grass.
