Chemical Goldberg machine - Mg-air battery experiment proceeds at snail's pace
#Magnesium-air #salt-water #battery #Goldberg machine
Chemical reactions and explosions are used in a chain-reaction to start a
DIY magnesium-air battery powered model car. It is shown how a real gas-diffusion cathode works and making a really powerful battery is very easy using only Tic-Tac case, cathode, metal anode, and sodium chloride solution.
The magnesium-air battery design won II place in a youth science contest year 2020 by Paul Erik Olli (supervised by Tavo Romann and Eha Paabo).
The Snail Diego works in Regio.
