Deadly Toxic Mushrooms What you don't see.

A quick glimpse via time lapse of the mycelium from Galerina marginata, (Autumn galerina) one of the worlds most deadly mushrooms. This is the stuff we do not see, the real bulk of the visible portion known as the fruiting body, lies under the ground, called the mycelium. Galerina marginata contains the toxin α-Amanitin. This toxin is hepatotoxic, in other words, it will adversely affect one's liver. You may be familiar with Amanita phalloides, (the Death Cap) which also contain amatoxins, however, Galerina marginata does not belong to the same genus and is a common wood rotting (saprophytic) fungus.
Technical:
Wild specimens obtained, cultured and filmed growing on similar substrate as would be found occurring naturally.
