Here is a scripted step by step process on how to replace a 2008 macbook keyboard in 25 easy steps:

1. Remove battery cover and battery.
2. Remove main logic board panel.
3. Disconnect wifi/iSight cable and speaker.
4. Remove logic board fan.
5. Remove Super Drive and unscrew 2 power button screws..
6. Disconnect all cables from logic board.
7. Remove all screws from logic board.
8. Disconnect battery cable from logic board .
9. Disconnect microphone and dc adapter.
10. Remove the mi wall.
11. Remove keyboard cover and unscrew the old keyboard.
12. Install new keyboard and screw it in.
13. Place keyboard cover layers on the new keyboard (align the two cover placements into the cover holes.
14. Reinstall mid wall.
15. Reinstall power button with 2 screws.
16. Reinstall Super drive.
17. Reattach dc adapter and microphone (Very important!)
18. Reinstall logic board and reconnect battery cable.
19. Reinstall cpu fan.
20. Reinstall speaker.
21. Reconnect all cables.
22. Reinstall main cover.
23. Reinstall battery and cover.
24. Power on the Macbook and test out the new Keyboard.
25. All done!

This process takes takes about 30-60 minutes depending on experience.
