Facelift is a cosmetic procedure that improves the visible signs of aging. So what are those ? So they can have wrinkles around the eyes, the folds can be there, bulges can be there around the eyes. So jowls, jowls is the fullness in the lower part of the cheek. So all these signs can be improved and also in the neck the neck bands will be there, wrinkles will be there, double chin will be there. So these are the signs of aging. So all these signs can be improved with the face lift procedure and usually we combine the along with the face lift we do neck lift also to treat the aging signs in the neck region and around the eyes. So the blepheroplasty and the brow lift will also help and there will be usually associated volume loss will be there with the age. So we need to improve the volume also. So we do fat grafting. So overall this is a facial rejuvenation. The usual age the indication usually starts around 45 plus and it can extend up to 65 plus. This is a very common age where they undergo facelift procedure so this is considered as a daycare surgery morning admission and evening discharge roughly we take around 4 to 5 hours to complete the procedure for the face lift. We make incision in front of the ear at the junction of the face and the ear here. It is not so visible. Once it is well healed at the same time, so we do treat the aging signs in the neck with the small incision just below the chin level.So along with the face lift we also treat the signs of the Aging around the eyes that is wrinkles bulges folds with blepharoplasty and brow lift. They will be discharged at same day evening. They will have some swelling which reduces very gradually over a period of like 2 to 3 weeks or 1 month time. So then need to be in indoor at home for next maybe 1 to 2 weeks time because of some swelling there. So there will be some stitches done they are very fine stitches which we always keep it in the hidden area. Fine stitches are removed after one week they can have the soft Deed from same day evening. They can have the normal body bath from next day but face wash and the head bath can be resumed after one week time. Some swelling reduces very gradually within a month's time they can go out from after 2 weeks onwards. They can resume that major physical activities like gym activities after 1 and half to 2 months time. Final facelift results are appreciated by the end of 2 to 3 months. There are several techniques combined to improve to address the overall signs of aging which is present in the face and neck. We make a very small incision in front of the ear the facelift alone will treat the deep nasolabial folds, marionette lines, the jowls and the mid cheek region. So that is lifted with the face lift procedure and the neck bands. Double chin fullness in the neck can be treated with the neck lift procedure through a small insertion below the chin level in the hidden area around the eyes wrinkles can be there folds can be there the bulges can be there. So we treat the areas of volume loss with the fad grafting. So the mid cheek region inside the nasal fold and in the temple regions and the suborbital region around the eyes.So these areas are treated with fat grafting. So all these procedures can be combined depending upon individual requirement. So one may require only face lift and neck lift or one may require all the mentioned procedures that is individually and depending upon the situation.
