Christmas Breakfast: Hot Curried Fruit
Sue Mallick with Food City presents a fresh recipe for Hot Curried Fruit at Food City's Cooking School. Ingredients:
3/4 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup butter
2 tsp curry powder
1 can pear halves
1 can peach slices
1 can pineapple chunks
1 can mandarin oranges
1 jat maraschino cherries
In a medium saucepan, combine brown sugar and butter. Heat over medium heat until sugar has dissolved. Remove from heat and add curry powder. In a 13 x 9 baking dish, add all the drained fruit and mix well. Pour sugar over fruit. Bake at 325 degrees for 50 to 55 minutes or until bubbly. Serve immediately.
