The Birth Of A Bowie Knife (making of the blade)

Watch me and Florian making a small bowie style blade out of some pre laminated san mai steel.
The core steel of the blade is C100 (1095) covered by layers of nickel and stainless steel

We hardened it at 820°C and temperd the blade 2x at 180°C

The steel was forge welded by martinhuber_knives before we started wotking with it!

The knife will be completed and engraved in part 2.
