Operations resumed at LaGuardia Airport after a deadly collision between an Air Canada regional jet and an airport fire truck killed two pilots. Authorities said the runway reopened after repairs and safety checks met Federal Aviation Administration standards.

The crash occurred when the arriving jet from Montreal struck a fire truck crossing the runway. Around 40 people were treated for injuries, while investigators from the National Transportation Safety Board continue probing the incident.
