FIREBIRD Industrial Processing™ [FIP] - Pretreat 288 shirts per hour
FIREBIRD Ink,™ in exclusive partnership with Miele,™ has developed an industrial and automated approach to pretreatment for Direct-To-Garment (DTG) printing. This patent-pending method is called: FIREBIRD Industrial Processing™ [FIP].
FIP is designed for DTG print shops, as well as shirt brands and distributors that aim to offer fully pretreated blanks.
Why is FIP better than the traditional spray pretreatment method?
Productivity
Pretreat up to 288 shirts per hour with one FIP channel, which is 1 washer-extractor & 2 dryers. In addition, one person can effectively operate 3 FIP channels: 3 x 288 = 864 shirts per hour.
Automation
Eliminate the "one-in, one-out" time and labor drain of spraying and heat curing one shirt at a time. Using preset programs, FIREBIRD's patented pretreatment is automatically pumped into the Miele system, fully coating the shirts and extracting the excess pretreatment to be reused. With FIP, you can batch process and scale production.
Efficiency
FIP pretreated shirts can also be stored for over 1 year on the shelf, which adds workflow flexibility. With FIP pretreated shirt inventory, eliminate the spray pretreatment step prior to printing.
Consistency
Since the entire garment is pretreated, FIP eliminates the visual effect of staining and uneven/spotty spray patterns. The hand feel is also improved as there is not a noticeable difference on the shirt between areas with pretreatment and areas without.
Range
FIP advances the ability to print onto more brands, styles, and colors of garments. In addition to DTG printing onto Cotton, FIP allows your shop to add: 50/50's, Tri-blends, Hoodies, Knit-wear (polos), and 100% Polyester. Also, FIP pretreated garments can be printed on everywhere - front & back, sleeves, and even the inside neck label.
