Bifrost Aero - Physics Based Spatially Adaptive Smoke, Michael B Nielsen at CGA Belgrade 2019

Autodesk Bifrost is a procedural visual programming environment which includes Bifrost Aero – a new dynamics solver for smoke, fire and combustion phenomena. This talk will give an overview of Bifrost Aero which has the ability to increase the resolution adaptively, for example near the camera. Additionally, one of the goals of Bifrost Aero’s combustion solver is to produce realistic results by default and to this end it supports real-world fuels such as propane as well as improved modeling of soot formation and oxidation, water vapor condensation and thermodynamics.
