partially abandoned ghost town: pequaming, michigan

This is where the Ford motor company processed the lumber they used in making their wood paneled cars and trucks ('"woodies") from when they bought the town in 1923 until 1942, when the mill was closed. This town had its own post office from 1880 until 1944.

This town is said to have been entirely abandoned for some time, but there is now a little bit of rejuvenation as a summer boating community.
