These homemade peppermint patties are really easy to make, and they taste so good. Make a great gift. Thanks for watching, and I hope you enjoy!
Ingredients and Directions
1 tablespoon butter, softened
2 Tablespoons light corn syrup
1 1/2 tablespoons water
1 teaspoon peppermint extract (You can add a little more for extra peppermint flavor)
2 1/2 cups powdered sugar, sifted
1 to 1-1/2 cups chocolate chips for dipping
Add the first four ingredients and 1 (one) cup of the powdered sugar in a stand mixer, or you can use a hand held mixer. Mix till well blended.
Add 1/2 cup of the powdered sugar and blend well till all of your powdered sugar is used up.
Knead your mixture by hand for a couple of minutes until smooth.
You can roll out your patties and use a cookie cutter, or roll them by hand. Place them on a baking sheet lined with either wax or parchment paper that's dusted with some powdered sugar. Cover and place in the freezer till firm.
Once your patties are firm, melt your chocolate chips and let it cool a bit. Dip your patties in the chocolate and place on a baking sheet lined with wax or parchment paper. Place in the fridge till the chocolate it set.
