Nordic Backcountry Ski | Ultimate Dog Walking Ski?

Finally there is some snow in Scotland and I can introduce my new nordic backcountry ski called the Turas. It lies somewhere in between a nordic track ski and a telemark ski. It is the perfect ski for forest tracks, breaking trail and snowy adventures. It has enough width and power to descend but is light enough to go up hill with its clever incorporated Pomoca speed skin. This little skin does away with the need to worry about grip waxing or fish scales and works well in almost any snow type. The skin offers good glide and is very quiet so you wont disturb the wildlife or your own peace of mind.

In the video I am using the Fischer BCX boot with a Rottefella 3 Pin Binding. I feel like with this set up I could ski fairly steep red runs on the piste or do nice low Telemark turns in deeper snow.

Visit the Lonely Mountain Skis website for more info.
