Class 341- The Never Built Network SouthEast CrossRail Train

In the 1990's Network SouthEast designed a train specially for the planned east - west London CrossRail service.

They even built a mock-up of one coach, to show the public.

However in 1994 the Government cancelled CrossRail and the trains were never built.

This film shows the mock-up at a public exhibition at London Liverpool Street station.

If this train had of been built it would have joined the Network SouthEast "Networker" family of trains. This film also includes some of these plus a mini acceleration race between a diesel and electric multiple unit train.

I've been waiting a very long time to make this film, I was hoping that there would be a public exhibition promoting the new Class 345 CrossRail trains as I wanted to use this footage in the same film...
