Carbide Miners Lamp Restoration | NICE RESTORATION

In the early 1900's the miners would descend into the mines with little more for light than a brass miners lamp. Inside this lamp was a chamber that carried water, which dripped into a lower chamber containing calcium carbide. The meeting of the two produced acetylene gas, a flammable gas which was used to light their way.
