Why is Antarctica under threat?

For around 45 years the world saw a cold war dividing the world into two blocks. But during this era in the South Pole, we saw a multilateral harmony, but even though the cold war has ended we see the rise of the multilateral cold war in #Antarctica. We find out about the countries behind this cold war and also the reasons for the same. The continent is governed by the #AntarcticTreaty System, a series of international agreements that regulate research and tourism. So far the treaty has done a good job of conserving Antarctica's environment and resources. But changes are happening so fast that they need extra attention.
