Three years ago, we embarked on a road trip to Albania, which took a sudden twist when it became our most ambitious project to date. We drove a Russian Lada Niva, a car on the technical level of the '70s - and only made it to the next town due to overheating issues. Unable to fix the problem, we had to call off our trip right there. This setback marked the beginning of a three-year adventure to reach Albania. Back in that first year, we borrowed another car, slapped our rooftop tent on it, and hit the road again. With not enough time left to reach Albania, we shifted our focus to the countries of former Yugoslavia. This was the start of our Balkan detours! #urbex #abandonedplaces #bwturbex
