What are the benefits of DAS for private schools and colleges?

You’re trying to attract students, that’s the name of the game, the more, you know, you want high quality students coming to your school and paying the tuition, and today’s students are using on average two or three or maybe even more mobile devices, when you consider the cell phone, the tablets, the gaming devices, they sometimes come to school with all three of those.

If they’re not able to use them, they’re not gonna be very happy. If they’re not very happy, mom and dad won’t be very happy paying the tuition bill.

So there’s that aspect of it but there is also a safety aspect of it. Parents want the peace of mind to know that my child, whether they’re in a library, a dormitory, or a classroom or even just walking, you know, on the campus, can reach emergency services if they need to, can reach me if they need to and be able to use the phone the way they’re accustomed to wherever they are.

So those are two applications, if you will, for the private school environment. Increasingly applications that are web based are being used in public schools and in private schools. Teachers want access to those applications and…so they’re tablet based so they want to be able to have good cellular coverage to download those applications.
