Can my cabling vendor install a DAS?

There are a lot of reasons why you just can’t do that. Number one you’re rebroadcasting the carrier’s signal and you need their permission to do that. Number two the RF has to be tuned just right or it’s not gonna work well.

Unless you know what the received signal strength is inside the building and other characteristics coming from the carrier’s network, unless you have those well-defined then you’re never gonna be able to implement a proper DAS solution and nobody will get what they’re paying for.

The customer won’t be happy; the carrier will be upset because you’re interfering with their macro-site potentially. So to just plug an antenna into an existing fiber optic system and put an antenna on the roof to capture the carrier’s signal is an ill-advised way to approach the problem.
