This soldier armed himself with an umbrella when he fought the Nazis in World War Two. The Nazis must have been confused when they saw this soldier charging at them with an umbrella. This British soldier wielded his umbrella with great effectiveness. He disabled a Nazi vehicle by poking the driver in the eye with the tip of his umbrella and saved a clergyman yelling 'don't worry about the bullets I've got an umbrella!' He later became a spy in the Dutch resistance. This soldier and his umbrella should be learned about by all with an interest in history.
